Description
With your entrance ticket, explore the Vallorbe Caves in the Jura of Vaud. Follow a marked circular route for about an hour through various cave sections. The path takes you along the underground Orbe River.
See different stalactite and stalagmite formations and large rock chambers. In the 'Fairy Treasure' area, minerals from all over the world are displayed. At the end, enjoy a light and sound show in the largest hall of the grotto.
Swiss Activities Tip
You can also admire the Orbe River above ground near the Vallorbe Caves. The Orbe originates right at Vallorbe, at the so-called Source de l’Orbe, where it emerges from a rock face. In the Vallorbe area, it flows through a wide valley and is visible in the village. There are hiking trails above and below the caves where you can experience the river’s course and the landscape along the Orbe.
