Val Grande and Val di Gei Canyoning Combo from Gordevio

This canyoning combo takes you into two gorges right near Gordevio in the Maggia Valley. In the morning, you start in Val Grande. There you'll find glowing pools, wild vegetation, waterfalls, and a varied mix of abseiling, sliding and optional jumps on polished rock.

In the afternoon, you'll tackle Val di Gei, which is the sportier section. This gorge is mostly vertical with few walking sections. Instead, you'll face longer abseils, compact lines and striking passages with more verticality.

This combination is designed for athletic people who want to spend a full day outdoors. Val Grande is perfect to get started and solidify your technique. Val di Gei builds on that and provides the sporting highlight of the day.

• Do not wear cotton fabrics
• Glasses or contact lenses are possible; glasses strap and waterproof case recommended
• Remove jewellery and piercings before the tour

• Hypoallergenic neoprene suit (2-piece; pants and jacket) with hood
• Canyoning shoes and hypoallergenic neoprene socks
• Canyoning harness and two safety devices with screwgate carabiners
• Helmet tested for rockfall protection

• Swimwear (trunks, swimsuit, bikini)
• Towel
• For the ascent and colder temperatures or if you generally feel cold, wear close-fitting functional underwear
• Ski underwear or similar that can be worn under the neoprene suit. IMPORTANT: It should be made of synthetic fibres or Merino wool (not cotton, which cools rather than warms).
• Change of clothes for after the tour
• Necessary medications (asthma spray, allergy meds, etc.)
• Food/drinks for before/after
• Sunscreen (waterproof)
