Gordevio
Gordevio is located on the banks of the Maggia River, about 10 km northwest of Locarno. The river is known for its beautiful turquoise water. The village in the south of Switzerland is situated at 312 m above sea level in the lower part of the Maggia Valley. Gordevio consists of the hamlets of Gordevio-Briee and Gordevio-Villa. There are also numerous alpine settlements in Gordevio. The Pizzo d'Orgnana is the highest peak of Gordevio at 2219 meters above sea level
