Description
On the Detective Trail, you follow Detective Badger through Burgdorf's historic old town. The 4.3 km route leads up to Burgdorf Castle. Illustrated directions guide you from station to station.
Along the way, you solve puzzles using clues from your surroundings. You'll discover the Emme river, the secondary school, and sculptures by Bernhard Luginbühl. You pass the Franz Gertsch Museum and learn interesting facts about the Zähringer dynasty.
The trail ends at Burgdorf Castle, a former workplace of Heinrich Pestalozzi. Using the correct answers, you'll form a four-digit code that opens the treasure chest, allowing you to choose a small reward.

- Children aged around 8 usually solve the puzzles on their own, 6 and up with support
- Between stations six and seven, the route follows along the Emme river
- Picnic areas are located at stations nine and ten

In bad weather, you can postpone the trail to another day. If the treasure chest is inaccessible, the reward will be sent within Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
