"Treasure Hunt in Diessenhofen" Detective Trail in Diessenhofen

On the Detective Trail, you follow Detective Badger through historic Diessenhofen and along the Rhine. This 4 km-long treasure hunt leads through medieval alleys past splendid timber-framed houses. Along the way, you solve puzzles with clues drawn from your immediate surroundings, learning about the history and culture of this protected townscape.

The route passes the covered wooden bridge, the Seal Tower, Unterhof Castle, and St. Katharinental Monastery. You'll also discover the significance of Schwaderloch and the Kyburg dynasty. Correct answers help you combine a four-digit code to open the treasure chest. The trail ends at the Unterhof restaurant, where you select a small gift.

• At station ten, there are picnic and barbecue spots by the Rhine
