- Open Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00–17:00; closed on Mondays
- Closed on 24, 25, 26 and 31 December, 1 January and Good Friday
- Please bring proof of eligibility for reduced admission (AHV, IV, apprentices, students)
- Audio guide in German and French, also suitable for children, available at the ticket desk for CHF 3.00
- Please register groups of 10 or more with the museum in advance
- The main entrance is accessible only via stairs. If you use a wheelchair, we recommend parking at Herrengasse and reaching the museum via Kapuzinergässli; there is a lift inside
- Dogs are not allowed (except guide dogs)
- Photography without flash is permitted
