Detective Trail with Barbecue and Chocolate Fun in Buchrain

On the detective trail in Buchrain, you accompany Detective Badger on a 5.5 km scavenger hunt. Illustrated directions guide you from point to point. Using clues from the surroundings, you solve a variety of puzzles and find a four-digit code.

The route runs along the Reuss River, through the forest, and across the sculpture trail. Along the way, you’ll discover artworks and the architecturally unique Agatha Church. Barbecue spots, picnic areas, a playground, and swimming places offer opportunities to take breaks.

With the correct code, you open the treasure chest at the end and select a small gift. The trail finishes at the ChocoCafé by Aeschbach Chocolatier in Root. The Root D4 S-Bahn station is right next door.

After purchase, access the trail through your customer account. You can choose between a web app or a printable treasure map. No advance booking is required.

Along the way, follow the illustrated directions and solve puzzles at each point. The correct answers give you the code for the treasure chest. If it’s inaccessible, the gift will be sent to you within Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

If the weather is bad, you can reschedule the adventure flexibly. Your ticket will remain available in your customer account.

Dogs are allowed on this trail but may need to wait outside if the treasure chest is indoors.
