"Through Alleys, Ditches and Secret Doors" Detective Trail Bremgarten

On this 3.5 km detective trail, you'll explore Bremgarten's medieval upper and lower town. The route takes you through narrow alleys, along old city walls, and to hidden corners. Along the way, discover wells, towers and historic squares within the striking Reuss river bend.

Stations include Schellenhausplatz, Town Hall, Spittelturm, Reuss bridge, Hexenturm and Bollwerk. You'll learn interesting details about medieval life, ditches and old trade routes. Other stories involve Bremgarten's nickname, a mailbox in the Reuss, and a special bell.

Detective Dachs guides you through the city with puzzles and observation tasks. Your correct answers form a four-digit code to open the treasure chest. The trail ends at Restaurant JoJo where a small gift awaits you.

• Children aged 8 and up can usually solve puzzles on their own; from age 6 with support
• Playgrounds are located near the twelfth puzzle and at the trail's end
• Near the finish you'll find a small petting zoo as well as indoor and outdoor swimming pools

If a puzzle is too hard, you can access hints and solutions. In bad weather, you can postpone the adventure to another day. No special preparation is needed for the trail.
