Description
On the 2.5 km Detective Trail, you accompany Detective Badger through the traditional mountain village of Blatten near Naters. The route passes sun-soaked Valais wooden houses and old granaries. Along the way, you’ll hear stories about witches and the legendary witch Vero.
As you go, you look for hidden clues and solve puzzles with information right on site. The answers create a four-digit code for the treasure chest. With the correct code, you choose a small reward from the chest.
The route offers views of the mountain scenery and the Aletsch Glacier. Near the end, you reach the Hexenkessel adventure playground, featuring mini-golf, a rope park, barbecue facilities, and a playground. The trail finishes close to the valley station of the Blatten-Belalp cable car.
How the Detective Trail works
You choose between the digital web app or a printable treasure map. Illustrated directions guide you from station to station. Clues in both versions help you with tricky puzzles. In bad weather, you can flexibly postpone your adventure to another day.
