Val Grande and Val di Gei Canyoning Combo from Gordevio

This canyoning combo takes you through two gorges right by Gordevio in the Maggia Valley. You start your morning in Val Grande, where you'll find bright pools, wild vegetation, waterfalls, and a varied mix of abseiling, sliding, and optional jumps on smooth rock.

In the afternoon, you move on to Val di Gei, the more athletic part. The gorge is mostly vertical with few walking sections. Instead, you'll face longer abseils, tight lines, and striking passages with more vertical climbing.

This combo is designed for sporty people who want to spend a full day outdoors. Val Grande is great for getting started and honing your technique, while Val di Gei builds on that and serves as the sporty grand finale of the day.

• Hypoallergenic neoprene suit (2-piece; pants and jacket) with hood
• Canyoning shoes and hypoallergenic neoprene socks
• Canyoning harness and two self-locking carabiners with screw gates
• Impact-tested helmet

• Swimwear (swimming trunks, swimsuit, bikini)
• Towel
• For climbing and in colder weather or if you tend to feel cold, you can wear tight functional underwear, ski underwear, or similar that you can also wear under your wetsuit. IMPORTANT: It should be made of synthetic fibers or merino (not cotton, as cotton cools rather than warms).
• Change of clothes for after the tour
• Any necessary medication for you (asthma spray, allergy medication, etc.)
• Food / drinks for before / after
• Sunscreen (waterproof)

• Minimum age: approx. 12 years
• Minimum 2 people required
• Sure-footedness, no fear of heights
• Bring: swimwear, towel, change of clothes, and any necessary medication
• Canyon, start time, and conditions may be adjusted depending on weather
• Required: average swimming skills, good overall health, good fitness level, and sure-footedness
• Advantageous: experience with rappelling and canyoning
• Do not wear cotton fabrics
• Glasses or contact lenses are allowed; a strap for glasses and a waterproof case are recommended
• Remove jewellery and piercings before the tour
