Description
In Corippo, located in the Verzascatal, you’ll find the perfect canyon for beginners. On this tour, you’ll get to try out the trendy sport of canyoning with jumps, slides, and abseiling. In the Verzasca Valley, you follow the watercourse through a varied gorge featuring jumps, slides, and narrow rock passages.
Along the way, you’ll make a quick stop at the historic village of Corippo. After that, an exciting outdoor experience in stunning nature awaits you. The slide into the Vogorno reservoir offers a memorable highlight at the end. A short swim across Lake Vogorno closes your adventure. Your car will be waiting at the shore for the return trip, or you can drop into one of the local grottoes.
Canyoning Gear
- Hypoallergenic neoprene suit (2-piece; pants and jacket) with hood
- Canyoning shoes with hypoallergenic neoprene socks
- Canyoning harness with two self-locking descenders including screw gate carabiners
- Rock impact tested helmet
What You Should Bring
- Swimwear (swim trunks, swimsuit, bikini)
- Towel
- For climbing and colder temperatures or if you generally feel cold, you can wear snug functional underwear, ski base layers, or similar, which you can also wear under the wetsuit. IMPORTANT: It should be made of synthetic fibers or Merino wool (not cotton, as it tends to cool rather than warm).
- Change of clothes for after the tour
- Any necessary medication (asthma spray, allergy medication, etc.)
- Food and drink for before/after
- Sunscreen (water-resistant)
Swiss Activity Tip
Ticino is famous for its countless grottos. At the end of your tour, you can treat yourself at one of these rustic spots and enjoy an ice cream, a small treat, or a drink.
