Easy snowshoe tour to the Wetterhorn

Starting from Grindelwald, you’ll hike through the mountain terrain with snowshoes for about 2 to 2.5 hours. The snowshoes make walking much easier. Along the way, you’ll enjoy spectacular views of the Wetterhorn, the upper Grindelwald Glacier, the First ski area, and the Schynige Platte.

At the Ischboden mountain hut, you have the chance to visit the Alpine Bird Park. The view of the Eiger north face is breathtaking. The tour finishes at the Wetterhorn parking lot. Afterwards, you’ll be transported back to Interlaken.

Practical information:

• Bring along: ski gloves, ski or winter hiking trousers and jacket, camera, drinks, sunscreen, and sunglasses
• If you’re coming from far away, please inform the organizer after booking. This is important in case weather-related cancellations or changes are necessary.
• The main language is English. The guides also speak at least one other language such as German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, etc.

• Bring along: Warm, preferably waterproof winter clothing
• Minimum age 8 years (under 12 years only in company of an adult)
• Good physical condition
