Traveling with a wheelchair
- The motor ship (MS) Interlaken is not wheelchair accessible.
- All other ships on Lake Brienz feature wheelchair-friendly main decks, including accessible toilets.
- All berths are designed to be barrier-free.
Out and about with the dog
- Small dogs up to 30 cm carrying height travel free of charge if they stay in a transport container at all times.
- Dogs without a container and all dogs taller than 30 cm at the shoulder require a valid dog ticket at half the price of second class, but no more than CHF 10.00 (dog day pass)
- The dog day pass and the SBB dog GA are valid on all paddle steamer cruises.
- Dogs are allowed both indoors on the ship and in the ship’s restaurant.
Swiss Activities Tip
If you stay longer in the region of Lake Brienz and Lake Thun, a visit to the St. Beatus Caves is highly recommended. Embark on an adventure along the mountain slopes of the area. The famous stalactite caves are best explored on a guided tour. However, there is also the option to discover certain parts of the caves on your own.

Very nice boat with wonderful seating inside and out. Majestic aqua blue lake, cool breeze on the lake even though it was a hot day. Scenic views along the lake, stop to see the waterfalls! I would definitely recommend this boat tour.
