Hiking Ticket Grindelwald - Bort with the First Railway

Travel with the Firstbahn between Grindelwald and Bort easily or round trip. The 6-seater cable car takes 11 minutes for a one-way journey. In Bort, you have the opportunity to visit the alpine play area. Its use is free of charge.

Hiking routes from Bort (the indicated duration is for a one-way hike):

• Hiking trail 13 (yellow): Bort to Bussalp (Sonnenweg) 1:50 hrs.
• Hiking trail 14 (yellow): Bort - Aellfluh 0:50 hrs.
• Hiking trail 15 (yellow): Bort - Grindelwald (Note: in summer used for trolly bike descents and in winter for tobogganing)
• Hiking trail 16 (yellow): Bort - Unterer Lauchbühl - Wetterhorn (Enzianenweg) 1:45 hrs.

Mountain Railway Route

Valley station: Grindelwald (1065 m above sea level) Intermediate station: Bort (1570 m above sea level)

Practical information:

• The valley station is about an 8-minute walk from Grindelwald station.
• In poor weather conditions, operations may be suspended.
• Dogs travel free.

• Pushchair and wheelchair preferably foldable
• For the wheelchair, it’s best to register by phone beforehand with the railway company or directly at the departure station to ensure smooth handling

Would you like to combine an adventurous departure with a mountain hike? In winter, you ride the sled down from Bort to Grindelwald. In summer, you have the option to rent a Trottibike. With this, you can also ride down to Grindelwald during summer—if you wish.
