Next to Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau, the mountain giants Wetterhorn, Schreckhorn, and Fiescherhorn also rise above the Alpenspielplatz. You can get to the playground by taking the Grindelwald-First cable car and getting off at the middle station Bort.
test
At the Alpine Playground, kids of all ages can find various activities. The climbing and balancing landscapes specifically promote the children's motor skills. Coordination and balance are playfully trained. The play structures are largely made of wood and other natural materials. Necessary metal parts like the slide are made of stainless steel. The fall protection mainly consists of wood chips, which also contribute to a pleasant atmosphere visually. Parents can watch from the nearby restaurant, the tent bar, or a picnic spot, or enjoy the scenery.
The large sandbox is covered by a protective sunshade. The climbing towers are equipped with additional elements like slides, ropes, and nets. A small brook provides extra fun for kids who love to dam water or build bridges. On exercise equipment, slides, swings, seesaws, and trampolines, kids can really let loose. The balancing and climbing area forms a good basis for future mountain hikes with the whole family. The Alpine Playground Bort is perfect for a family outing.
test
The playground is for kids aged 2 and over.
For the return journey, you have the option to rent a trottibike in Bort for yourself and your kids. This way, you can comfortably ride down to the valley station in about 30 minutes. You'll be standing upright on a wide footboard. Thanks to the large tires with a good profile and the suspension fork, bumpy paths are no problem at all. A mini trottibike can be used from a height of 125 cm. A helmet is mandatory and is provided for free.
Note: Only one person may ride on a trottibike at a time.
Right at the Alpine Playground, you'll find an e-bike charging station.
Test
The Alpine Playground is open daily during the summer half-year until mid-October during the opening hours of the mountain railroad. The use is free of charge.
Mountain bikes are transported with the Forstbahn for a fee, but e-bikes are not.
The Alpine Playground is located in Bort above Grindelwald. Bort is the middle station of the mountain railroad between Grindelwald and Grindelwald First.
The bottom station of the Grindelwald First cable car is in Grindelwald in the upper village center. From the train station you walk about 8 minutes
For a combination of the Alpine Playground and the First Cliff Walk, take the Firstbahn from Bort to the top station in 14 min. The reverse order is also ideal
