Description
A real adventure awaits you on Monte Tamaro at 1530 m above sea level. Well-secured on a steel cable over 400 m long, you will whizz downhill from Alpe Foppa. The longest tyrolienne in Switzerland promises not only adrenaline, fun and thrills, but also a breathtaking view of the valley and the surrounding mountains during the descent.
The starting point of the Tyrolienne is at the Alpe Foppa mountain station. Before you set off, you will be given a brief introduction to the Tyrolienne and secured to the steel cable with a safety harness.
Well secured, you start your descent at the Tyrolienne. Enjoy the wind, the magnificent view and a speed of up to 60 km/h. Towards the end of the run, you are safely stopped by an automatic braking system, released and, after handing in your equipment, you leave the arrival point.
Swiss Activities Tip
There are many different activities on Monte Tamaro at the Alpe Foppa mountain station. For example, visit the nearby toboggan run or enjoy Ticino cuisine in the self-service restaurant Alpe Foppa with its large terrace after your ride. You can also book a gondola lift ticket including a plate of the day.
