Description
You go on a day trip departing from Lucerne. Together with a guide, you take the bus to Pilatus and then ride the cable car up to Pilatus. You hike together for about an hour up to Tomlishorn, at 2132 meters above sea level, the highest point of Pilatus.
Along the way, your professional guide explains the local wildlife and plant life on the mountain. With some luck, you might see a few ibexes during your trek. Later, you will cook your lunch over an open fire in Fräkmüntegg before returning to Lucerne by bus.
Traveling with Dogs
- During public guided tours, some guests may be wary of or sensitive to dogs. However, small and quiet dogs usually do not cause any issues.
Dog ticket for Pilatus Railways:
- Bringing small dogs up to 30 cm in size is free on the Pilatus Railways. They must remain in a carrier for the entire journey, which you should fit under your seat.
- Dogs without carriers and all dogs taller than 30 cm at the shoulder require a separate dog ticket for the Pilatus Railways.
