1-hour wine tasting (tasting not included) at a family-run winery

Let a cultural heritage guide from Lavaux lead you along the paths of this terraced vineyard and through its villages. The guide will share stories about its history and the families who built the 450 km of walls that shape this iconic landscape.
These walls have guarded the area for nearly a thousand years. Your guide will also talk about vineyard work and the emblematic Chasselas grape variety. At a family-run winery, you’ll take part in a wine tasting (cost not included). Fruit juice is offered to children during the tasting.
Practical Information:
Bring suitable shoes and clothing for a hike, depending on the season:
The Lavaux vineyards stretch out in steep terraces between Lausanne and Montreux along Lake Geneva. Dry stone walls and narrow paths shape the landscape of this UNESCO World Heritage site.
The mild climate and southern exposure provide ideal conditions for cultivating Chasselas. Winegrower villages, vineyard huts, and distant views of the lake and Alps make the region especially charming.
The climate is more continental than by the lake, with warm summers and cool nights. Mainly Pinot Noir, Gamay, and robust white wines are grown.
