Description

Let a wine tourism guide lead you along the paths of the Côtes de l’Orbe vineyard. Every valley floor here opens up to a village or a new vantage point. The history is marked by the many lords who once owned the region.

Your guide will tell you the story of this landscape – part vineyard, part farmland – shaped by the generations before us. They will share insights about the wines and the seasonal work on the vines.

At a family-run winery, you’ll join a wine tasting (costs not included). Fruit juice will be offered for children.

Practical information: Bring suitable shoes and clothing for the hike, depending on the season:

Vineyards of the Côtes de l’Orbe

The vineyards of the Côtes de l’Orbe stretch between Orbe and Yverdon-les-Bains in the Vaud hinterland. Gentle hills, fields, and small villages shape the landscape of this rural wine region.

The climate here is more continental than by the lake, with warm summers and cool nights. Mainly Pinot Noir, Gamay, and hardy white wines are grown.
