Wine Hiking Tour of La Côte Vineyards for Private Groups

You are going on a private group hike through the vineyards of La Côte. An enotourism guide will lead you along paths through the vineyards and villages for about two kilometres.

Along the way, you’ll learn about the history of the area. The guide will tell you about the monks who cultivated this land back in medieval times and share stories about the families who keep these traditions alive today.

You’ll get insight into the daily work in the vineyard over the course of a day and throughout the year. You’ll also see vine pruning techniques and the grape varieties typical of the region.

The wine tasting is offered by the Maison des Vins de La Côte (costs are not included).

Practical information:

• Bring along: a hat, sunscreen, rain gear, sports shoes, sunglasses, warm clothing, and a bottle of water
• Fruit juice is provided for children during the tasting.

The vineyards of La Côte stretch between Morges and Nyon along the northern shore of Lake Geneva. Gentle hills and historic wine-growing villages shape the landscape of this traditional wine region.

Vines grow here on limestone soils with views of the lake and the Alps. The region is known for its fresh white wines, especially from the Chasselas grape variety.
