"Ftan-Prui" Ski School for Children Aged 4-15 in Ftan

In the lessons, children learn the basics of skiing in a playful way, guided step by step by experienced ski instructors. For the older children, there are tips and tricks, and the lessons are designed to be fun and action-packed.

The children learn in groups with kids who have similar abilities. Group assignments take place on the first day during arrival. During the peak season, you have the option to book a supervised lunch break with meals for the full-day course.

The Motta Naluns ski area is child-friendly and safe. It offers 80 kilometers of prepared slopes and 12 lift facilities. The ski area spans the communities of Scuol, Ftan, and Sent, at an altitude of about 1250 to 2785 m above sea level.

These levels of the Swiss Snow League apply :

Blue Prince/Princess:

• Suitable for children from 5 to about 12 years old
• Information about the equipment
• Climbing with stair and shear steps
• Gliding and braking in a snowplow
• Skiing in parallel stance with switching and tricks
• Snowplow turns

Blue King/Queen:

• Suitable for children from 5 to about 12 years old
• Information about the safe use of transport facilities
• Traversing and tricks
• Side slipping
• Parallel skiing on simple waves and jumps
• Snowplow swinging on easy blue slopes

Blue Star:

• Suitable for children from 5 to about 12 years old
• Information about behavior on the slopes (FIS rules)
• Swinging in mini pole forests and courses
• Riding on waves and in dips
• Switch riding in a V position with direction change
• Snowplow swinging on varied blue slopes

Red Prince/Princess:

• Suitable for children from 5 to about 12 years old
• Information about warming up (warm-up)
• Braking in parallel
• Skiing in arcs on an easy slope
• Waltz
• Parallel swinging (slid)

Red King/Queen:

• Suitable for children from 5 to about 12 years old
• Information about behavior in the snowpark
• Short swinging on an easy slope
• Skate step on flat ground
• Basic Air (small kicker)
• Parallel swinging with various radii

Red Star:

• Suitable for children from 5 to about 12 years old
• Information about nature, forest, and landscape
• Parallel swinging in pole couloirs and courses
• Parallel swing "Switch" (slid)
• One-legged swinging on an easy slope
• Short swinging on moderate slopes
