Ticino Canoe Basic Tour from Cresciano

This canoe tour takes you along the Ticino River near Cresciano. Expect clear water, gravel banks, lively waves, and the stunning Ticino mountain scenery surrounding the river. Depending on your group, you'll either paddle your own boat or share the ride with the guides.

After a brief introduction and receiving your equipment, you'll set off on the river. The route heads towards Bellinzona and Arbedo. Clothing and valuables will be transported to the endpoint.

This tour is designed for larger groups, school classes, and clubs. On the water, you’ll experience teamwork, nature, and an active canoe trip.

Route:

• 8 km, from Cresciano to Arbedo

• Required: average swimming skills and good overall health
• No special fitness level needed
• For wetsuits: tight-fitting functional underwear or ski base layers made of synthetic fiber or Merino wool Cotton is not suitable under the wetsuit
• Glasses or contact lenses are possible; recommended are a glasses strap and a waterproof case
• Remove jewelry and piercings before the tour

• Public transport: Travel to the starting point in Cresciano and get off at Cresciano Paese stop, then return directly from the end point of the canoe tour at Abredo Molinazzo stop.
• Car: Park either at the start (Agriturismo La Finca) or at the end (parking lots in front of Camping Bellinzona) and use public transport for one leg of the journey.

• Minimum age: about 8 years when accompanied by adults
• Minimum group size: 4 people
• Bring: swimwear, towel, change of clothes and any necessary medication, waterproof sunscreen
