Ivo Pogorelich
Ivo Pogorelich is an internationally renowned classical pianist. Born in 1958 in Belgrade, he studied at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow among others. In the 1980s and 1990s, he gained recognition for his highly individualistic interpretations of Chopin, Liszt, Rachmaninoff, Beethoven, and Bach, which were both admired and widely debated. His artistic style is marked by extreme tempo fluctuations, strong dynamic contrasts, and a radically personal approach to the musical score.
