Description
This cruise is perfect if you have limited time but still want to enjoy a view of the lake overlooking the town and surroundings. The trip takes you on a modern boat across Lake of the Four Cantons, offering you an impressive panorama of the city of Lucerne and the picturesque landscape featuring the mighty Bürgenstock.
Starting from Lucerne Harbour, the cruise departs by boat. During one hour, you'll enjoy a circular trip to Kehrsiten-Bürgenstock and back. The boat makes a brief stop at Bürgenstock so you can enjoy the view. However, you won't be able to disembark during this round trip. After the tour, the boat returns to Lucerne Harbour.
Travelling with a wheelchair
- All ships of the SGV (except MS Rütli) are wheelchair accessible.
- Wheelchair-accessible toilets are available on all vessels (except MS Rütli and MS Mythen).
- Access to the sun decks and restaurants in second class is level.
- On the MS Diamant, the first-class area on the upper deck is reachable by lift.
Traveling with your dog
- Dogs under a shoulder height of 30 cm: free of charge if they are in a suitable basket or in a pet-friendly bag.
- All other dogs: Dog ticket (one-way: CHF 10.00, return: CHF 12.00)
- Official scheduled trips: Dogs are very welcome. This includes the midday boat, Uri Lake midday cruise, breakfast boat, and breakfast on scheduled ships.
- On all other special theme journeys, dogs are not allowed.
Swiss Activity Tip
In the evening, when the sun sets, this scenic drive is especially recommended. The light on the mountains and lake is stunning in clear weather.

It was good for what we needed it to be - a short trip around Lake Lucerne. It’s clearly a shuttle for guests of the Bürgenstock Resort that also serves as a sightseeing ferry. If you want someone who explains what you are seeing or delves into history or explores the whole coastline, take the long cruise on another line.
