Lake Joux

Lake Joux is the largest lake in the Jura Mountains. It lies around 1000 meters above sea level in the Vallée de Joux in the canton of Vaud. In summer, pleasant temperatures up to 24°C invite swimming, windsurfing, sailing, and cycling. The shores offer natural beaches and numerous hiking trails. In winter, with suitable conditions, the lake transforms into Switzerland’s and Europe's largest natural ice rink, a paradise for skaters and cross-country skiers. The lake is a popular destination for nature lovers and water sports enthusiasts.
