Adventure trail "Lea and Ben with the mother cows" in Freienstein (ZH)

On the guided tour along the adventure trail, you’ll playfully learn a lot about mother cows. At the ten stations around Lenzburg Castle, you’ll play games and solve puzzles together with Lea and Ben.

Some of the topics:

• Breed diversity
• Sustainable feed
• Glass shards and other waste on the cow pasture
• Why cows wear bells
• Water consumption in meat and nut production

The trail starts at the bus stop / parking lot near the Freienstein dormitory and is clearly marked.

Some details about the trail:

• 2 km (3 km including return)
• 99 meters uphill, 47 meters downhill
• 50 minutes (including return)

Practical information:

• suitable for wheelchairs and strollers
• Parking: public parking at the Freienstein bus stop, residential school.

The Freienstein, Wohnschule stop is served by bus line 529:

• Bus arrival from Rorbas direction: hourly at :57 past the hour
• Bus arrival from Pfungen direction: hourly at :31 past the hour

At the Puurehof in Rüdi, you can grill (wood is provided). There is another barbecue area near the castle ruins.
