"Find-the-Code: Hacked" Outdoor Escape Game Rapperswil-Jona

In this puzzle adventure, you and your team move individually through Rapperswil-Jona. Through your smartphone, you receive clues, encounter exciting challenges, and explore the city's diverse attractions.

The goal is to work together to crack the secret code and prevent the criminal from accessing the residents' data. You can choose any route you like.

The criminal's message is as follows:

• An employee of the city of Rapperswil-Jona has downloaded his malware. This gives the criminal access to all resident data from Rapperswil-Jona!
• He wants to sell this data to shady clients. They could then spam residents with payment demands for purchases never made or use the data for other criminal activities.
• The malware installation can only be stopped with a secret code.

You start the timer, solve the puzzles at various locations through teamwork, and chat with the deranged criminal. You work together as a team to solve each puzzle.

During the game, visit places like the harbour, the Kapuziner tip, the Kapuziner monastery, the old town, and Rapperswil Castle with St. Johann Church. There, the criminal challenges you with puzzles.

You can visit the puzzle locations in any order you wish. Together, you decide on the fastest route and best strategy. The entire route is around 5 km long. At the end, you assemble the collected puzzle pieces and find the solution.

• Can't make it on the planned day or things not going as expected? No worries, the game stays valid indefinitely as long as the location remains open. Just start your adventure on another day.
• The routes include stairs.

• Age: recommended from 12 years old
• Recommended group size: 2-5 players
• Bring: 1 smartphone with internet connection per team (allow location access in browser settings), power bank for smartphone battery (recommended), pen and notepad (optional)
