Maggiatal Val Grande canyoning for beginners and advanced canyoneers

For sporty beginners and repeaters, this grandiose gorge hike is perfect. Discover the Val Grande in the Maggia Valley with lots of fun and adrenaline. The Val Grande is one of the most complex gorges of the Maggia Valley and offers tropical flair, wild flora and emerald green water.

In Gordevio you will meet your guide and get acquainted with him. First you will walk together for about 30 minutes up to the entry point. At the entry point you will not only be fully equipped, but also introduced to the most important safety rules. Rappel training, test jump and slide are part of the standard procedure.

The first rappel point prepares you perfectly for the first waterfall of the tour. You will jump, climb, slide and swim through the fantastic gorge and enjoy pure nature guided by your guide. After the last waterfall, from which you abseil, it is only a short walk to the car, which will take you back to the starting point.

You can even repeat some of the jumps in this versatile canyon! The 25-meter waterfall from which you will abseil is called "Little-Niagara" by the locals.
