Brig

Brig is located at 681 m above sea level on the south bank of the Rhône. Its old town features old patrician houses and has homely inns. The Stockalper Castle is one of the most important baroque palace buildings in Switzerland. The town is situated between the Valais and Bernese Alps. It is a good starting point for the trip to Italy over the Simplon Pass. The city is surrounded by mountains such as the Glishorn (2525 m above sea level), the Füllhorn (2736 m above sea level) and the Sparrhorn (3020 m above sea level).
