The canton of Valais is probably the sunniest region in Switzerland. This region is known for its special thermal conditions that will help you take off with your paraglider!

You can expect a 15, 30 or 45 minute paragliding flight in Rosswald with an experienced tandem pilot!

Meeting point: Brig train station.

You will be picked up by your guide at Brig train station and together you will take the train to the launch site in Rosswald.

Preparation: Introduction and equipment.

In Rosswald, your tandem pilot will instruct and secure you so that your flight runs smoothly.

Activity: Paragliding.

After the instruction you will take off from over 2300 meters above sea level. You will enjoy a breathtaking view over the Rhone Valley and the famous Simplon. Don't forget to take some souvenir photos during the flight!

Landing and return: Bitsch.

The landing takes place on the historic Chavez meadow, from where Geo Chavez was the first person to cross the main ridge of the Alps in an airplane in 1910! From here you start your return journey.

Practical information:

• Summer: windbreaker and sturdy shoes
• Winter: Ski clothing and sturdy shoes
• Take GA or Half-Fare Card for the trip from Brig to Rosswald
• Sun protection with minimum factor 30 - 50 and UV sunglasses recommended

The longer your paragliding flight lasts, the more altitude meters you can overcome. At 15 minutes it is 1000 meters of altitude, at 45 minutes already 2000. Bring your own small compact camera to film the beautiful scenery and the flight.
