Ticket for Vogellisi Adventure Trail from Adelboden

When experiencing nature meets exciting stories, it creates a lot of fun for both kids and adults. The Vogellisi adventure trail is a family-friendly hike. The path takes you from the Sillerenbühl mountain station over 3.5 km through a varied landscape. Along the way, you’ll find ten interactive stations inviting you to play and join in.

The hike starts at the Sillerenbühl cable car station. From there, the trail leads down to Bergläger. The story of Vogellisi is shared along the way. It tells of a young woman from Adelboden who fell head over heels in love with the mountains. You’ll listen to audio plays and read short texts. Tasks make the story engaging and easy for children to experience. Climbing elements, a slide, and balancing stations promote dexterity and courage. The eagle’s nest offers climbing fun and a fantastic view.

The lovingly designed adventure trail ensures a special hiking experience. You can enjoy a relaxing break in nature at the charmingly located barbecue spot. The trail is well signposted and easy to follow. There are many photo opportunities along the way, creating beautiful memories of this outing.

The Silleren cable car - Sillerenbühl (Silleren gondola) runs from Adelboden-Oey via the intermediate station Bergläger up to the mountain station Sillerenbühl. The total journey takes about 30 minutes.

The stops of the cable car are:

• Oey (valley station, Adelboden) 1260 m above sea level
• Bergläger (intermediate station) 1488 m above sea level
• Sillerenbühl (mountain station) 1974 m above sea level.

• Length: 3.5 km (mountain hiking trail T2 – surefootedness and basic fitness required)
• Elevation: 490 m descent
• Duration: 1 hour 10 minutes (pure walking time)
• Start: Sillerenbühl mountain railway station (1974 m above sea level)
• Destination: Bergläger intermediate station (1488 m above sea level)

The Vogellisi adventure trail features ten exciting stations spread out along the 3.5 km route between Sillerenbühl and Bergläger. They’re designed to playfully and interactively convey the story of Vogellisi, with plenty of opportunities for climbing, sliding, and exploring.

Key highlights of the Vogellisi adventure trail include:

• Eagle’s Nest: Climb here and enjoy the view like an eagle.
• Slide: A long slide adds thrilling fun along the way.
• Cable Car: At one station, you’ll float through the air for a bit, experiencing the feeling of flight.
• Hidden Entrance/Shortcut: There’s a secret access route waiting to be discovered.
• Forest of Mountain Spirits: One stop invites you to step into a mystical forest and learn more about legends.
• Interactive Nature Stations: Discover fascinating facts about the region’s wildlife and plants.
• Play and Balance Stations: Various climbing and balancing elements boost agility and courage.
• Photo Spots: Multiple photo points like the “SkyNest” or the “GiantWings” offer unique souvenir photos.

At the Gilbachegge rest area, you'll find a lovely barbecue spot. Here, you can take a break and grill before continuing your hike. Gilbachegge is roughly halfway between Sillerenbühl and Bergläger, officially designated as a rest and barbecue area along the adventure trail. There's also a limited number of scooters available if you'd like to combine your hike with a scooter ride.

Dogs are allowed on the Adelboden-Lenk mountain cable cars and travel free of charge. However, dogs must be kept on a leash.

• The hike is not suitable for wheelchairs or strollers. The route follows a mountain trail (T2) with some steeper sections and uneven terrain.
• However, there is also an accessible path (T1) via the Alpstrasse between the Sillerenbühl mountain station and the mountain camp. Family members with wheelchairs or strollers can use this while you enjoy the adventure trail.
