Gornergrat Bahn ticket from Zermatt

Travel on the Gornergrat Railway from Zermatt to the Gornergrat and enjoy breathtaking views of the Matterhorn and surrounding peaks. The cogwheel train takes you up over 3,100 m above sea level. During the spectacular train ride, you'll pass alpine lakes, gorges, cross bridges, go through tunnels and forests.

In addition to the Matterhorn, you'll marvel at 28 other stunning four-thousand-metre peaks and observe glacier changes. Moreover, Zermatt—the starting point—is one of the most famous spots in all of Switzerland!

• Zermatt (Gornergratbahn): valley station in Zermatt at approximately 1605 m above sea level
• Findelbach: first intermediate station at about 1770 m above sea level
• Riffelalp: second intermediate station at approximately 2211 m above sea level
• Riffelberg: third intermediate station at around 2582 m above sea level
• Rotenboden: fourth intermediate station at roughly 2815 m above sea level
• Gornergrat: final station at 3089 m above sea level. Here, you can enjoy the stunning view of the Swiss Alps, including the Matterhorn. You will ascend nearly 1500 metres in elevation to reach there.

The ticket is valid for each individual leg once. So, you can also alight at one of the intermediate stations Rote Boden, Riffelberg, or Riffelalp and re-enter later the same day to continue your journey.

The adventure world “Zooom the Matterhorn” is also included in the ticket. At the Gornergrat next to Kulmhotel, you can try out various installations such as a paragliding simulator, a 3D cinema, or periscopes aimed at the Matterhorn!
