Gornergrat Bahn ticket from Zermatt

Take the Gornergrat Railway from Zermatt to Gornergrat and enjoy the breathtaking views of the Matterhorn and the surrounding peaks. The rack railway takes you up to over 3100 m above sea level. During this spectacular train ride, you pass by mountain lakes, gorges, cross bridges, go through tunnels and forests.

Alongside the Matterhorn, you'll marvel at 28 other majestic four-thousanders and observe glacier developments. Moreover, Zermatt is one of the most famous destinations in Switzerland!

Zermatt Valley Station:

• Zermatt is among the most renowned winter sports resorts in Switzerland. With the Matterhorn in the background, the town is a symbol of Swiss mountain scenery.

Gornergrat Mountain Station:

• At over 3100 m above sea level, you can enjoy a fantastic view of the Swiss Alps, including the Matterhorn. The ascent involves overcoming 1500 metres of elevation.

Practical Information:

• Suitable for: wheelchair users, strollers
• Suitable for children, but attention should be paid to the altitude differences
• Dogs travel free

The ticket is valid for each individual segment once. You can also disembark at any of the intermediate stations Rote Boden, Riffelberg, or Riffelalp and later in the day re-embark and continue your journey.

The adventure world “Zoom the Matterhorn” is also included in the ticket. At the Gornergrat next to the Kulm Hotel, you can try out various installations such as a paragliding simulator, a 3D cinema, or periscopes directed at the Matterhorn!
