Private Snowboard Lessons in Scuol

The lessons are aimed at snowboarders of all levels. Private lessons allow for individual attention.

The focus of the ski school is to combine the enjoyment of snowboarding with learning success and safety.

The lessons can be tailored to specific needs, such as powder snow, freestyle, or fun park.

Adults – Lightly Advanced:

• Safe braking and controlling speed on easy slopes
• Switching between heel edge and toe edge while riding
• First direction changes on blue runs
• Introduction to safe lifting with drag lifts
• Exercises to improve balance and posture on the board

Adults – Advanced:

• Short turns with precise edge control
• Riding steeper slopes with more confidence
• Basics for jumps and simple tricks
• Introduction to using snow parks

Blue Prince/Princess:

• Information about snowboard equipment
• Sliding while traversing
• Information on behavior on the slopes (FIS rules)
• Sliding to full base riding
• Slid turns

Blue King/Queen:

• Information about the safe use of transport facilities (e.g., drag lift)
• Information about warming up
• Turned turns
• Waltz
• Wheelie
• Two-footed take-off on the slope

Blue Star:

• Behavior in the snow park
• Switch jumps
• Speed check
• Fifty-fifty over a simple box
• Jumps over small jumps

Red Prince/Princess:

• Small freestyle lexicon
• Stretching and bending turns
• Powerslide
• Ollie/N’Ollie on the slope
• 180° on the slope

Red King/Queen:

• Information about nature, forest, and landscape
• Carved turns
• Slide on the slope
• Ollie/N’Ollie on the slope
• Basic air

Red Star:

• Information about the Swiss Snow Academy
• Riding in unprepared terrain
• Frontside noseturn
• Backside boardslide over a box
• Straight air

Swiss Snow Academy:

• Development of an individual riding style on various types of terrain
• Improvement of technique in freestyle or freeriding
• Safe riding in snow parks with tricks like 180s, grabs, or boxes
• Learning advanced jumping techniques over medium and large kickers
• Introduction to avalanche knowledge and safety measures off the piste
