Swiss Family Card
The Swiss Family Card is valid for children between the ages of 6 and 15 (one day before their 16th birthday). Children receive the free Swiss Family Card if they are traveling with a parent. The parent must have a valid ticket from the Swiss Travel System. No Swiss Family Card is required for children under the age of 6. They travel free of charge together with an accompanying person (with a valid ticket).
Children traveling without a parent receive a 50% discount on all tickets from the Swiss Travel System with the Swiss Family Card.
On the road with the wheelchair
- In all SBB coaches (1st and 2nd class), the first compartment on the right is reserved "for passengers with reduced mobility". It has facing seating and can be used by passengers with walking disabilities. Some of these compartments can also be used by passengers in wheelchairs.
- There are stations that are not yet barrier-free. Please enquire in advance with the respective company or the "SBB Call Center Handicap".
- You can register with the "SBB Call Center Handicap" for free boarding and alighting assistance up to 24 hours in advance.
