Lake Zug is located in Central Switzerland and stretches across the cantons of Zug, Schwyz, and Lucerne. It covers an area of 38.41 km² and is surrounded by gentle hills and the Prealps. The most striking feature here is the sunsets, which paint the lake in vibrant colours. The town of Zug on the northern shore boasts a beautiful historic old town. The lake offers leisure activities such as sailing, swimming, stand-up paddleboarding, as well as hiking and cycling paths along its shores. Besides numerous fish species, the Zug redtail, a local specialty, lives in Lake Zug.
