From Interlaken Ost you can choose between two routes with your Jungfraujoch ticket – either via Lauterbrunnen or via Grindelwald. The route taken to reach Jungfraujoch is the same route you will return on to Interlaken.
By Grindelwald, you take the cable car “Eiger Express” from Grindelwald Terminal to Eigergletscher station. The modern cable car, which opened in 2020, takes just 15 minutes from Grindelwald to the station. Along the way, you will enjoy an incredible view of the towering, 1800 m high Eiger north face. At Eigergletscher, you transfer to the cog railway for a scenic ride through the Eiger and Mönch massif to Jungfraujoch.
Via Lauterbrunnen, the cog railway takes you through Wengen to Kleine Scheidegg. On the way, you pass the famous Lauberhorn downhill course. You'll be amazed by how steep this ski race descent is. At Kleine Scheidegg, you transfer to the cog railway heading to Jungfraujoch.
A short stop is made at Eismeer station en route to Jungfraujoch. Here, you can marvel at and photograph the impressive glacier through a large panoramic window.
Practical information
A roughly 45-minute walk takes you from Jungfraujoch between March and October over the glacier to Mönchsjochhütte, which is located at 3,657 meters above sea level. The trail is well signposted and maintained. This easy walk is suitable for children as well. Wear good shoes, and nothing will stand in the way of your trip into the Swiss mountain scenery.
Travelling with a wheelchair or pram is recommended via the 3S-Bahn Eiger Express from Grindelwald Terminal (via Eigergletscher station).
When arriving via Kleine Scheidegg, Jungfrau Railways cannot guarantee transport in all cases.
The Jungfraujoch itself is suitable for prams and wheelchairs. Access to the Ice Palace is equipped with a wheelchair lift.
Groups of three or more wheelchairs should inform the station staff about their trip at the departure station so that any necessary assistance can be arranged.

Wonderful experience( But) make sure you arrive at train station early And be aware that a lot of people have no manners And getting on you take your life into your hands, Getting of is even worse they push and shove, and won’t let you get off, No consideration for parents with push chairs and Prams / even people with walking aids also some put bags on seats so you are not able to site down , also be aware of 1st and second class seating

Directions unclear as reservation time. Was it at Interlaken OST or at the top? We arrived 1 hour early but we were accommodated.
