Lucerne - Interlaken Express Ticket
The Golden Pass Panorama Train is one of Switzerland's famous panoramic trains. It runs between Lucerne and Montreux. With this ticket, you can depart either from Lucerne or Interlaken Ost and thus complete part of this scenic route.
Starting from Lucerne, the journey initially follows Lake Uri. Then it heads up to Lake Sarnen and Lake Lungern. From there, the train continues ascending to the Brünig Pass, which is situated at 1,008 meters above sea level. From this point, the journey descends again, offering a stunning panorama of the Bernese Alps as you travel towards Brienz. After a short stop in Brienz, the train winds along the turquoise waters of Lake Brienz for the final leg to Interlaken Ost. If you are coming from Interlaken Ost, the order of the places you pass through is exactly the reverse.
Swiss Activities Tip
Between Brienz and Interlaken, you can see the Grandhotel Giessbach on the other side of the lake. Here, the Giessbach Falls cascade down 14 levels into Lake Brienz. If you're planning a longer stop in Interlaken, we recommend visiting this beautiful spot.
Traveling with Dog
- Small dogs (up to 30 cm shoulder height, in a transport container) travel free of charge.
- Larger dogs require a ticket at half the price of second class (or a dog day pass).
- Dogs must remain under the seat.
- Leash regulations apply, and larger dogs should wear a muzzle.
- Guide dogs for the blind and assistance dogs always travel free of charge and without restrictions.
