Guided tour by a Lausanne local with engaging anecdotes
Four stops with tasting Swiss specialities (including drinks): cheese dairy, brewery, Vaud tavern, chocolate shop
Wines
You begin with a tasting of three Swiss cheeses: Gruyère, Tomme Vaudoise, and Tête de Moine. The Tête de Moine is twirled into delicate rosettes using a girolle. Afterwards, you visit a brewery with a special atmosphere and regional specialties. There, you taste a creative variation of the "Papet Vaudois," accompanied by a glass of red wine. You also enjoy a "Malakoff," a local cheese delicacy.
The third stop is the oldest wine tavern in the city, the Pinte Besson. There, you share a traditional half-half fondue with other guests. A well-chilled Chasselas is served with it.
Finally, you explore the city’s oldest chocolate shop: Blondel. You take home a box of their best creations. Blondel has been a renowned master chocolatier since 1850.
The tour starts at Place de la Palud and ends at Place St-François. It lasts about three hours.
