Aarau interactive scavenger hunt with the smartphone

On this interactive treasure hunt in Aarau, you can explore the historic old town using an app on your smartphone while solving exciting and informative puzzles and tasks.

You and your group can head out on a puzzle adventure whenever you like, as the starting time is up to you. You only need one ticket per person for the interactive game and a smartphone with the corresponding app. The app will guide you through an adventure filled with interesting information about the town, fun tasks, and tricky puzzles.

The treasure hunt lasts about 1.5-2 hours and starts at the tourism office in Aarau. Along the way, you'll discover many sights, including the Obertorturm, the old cantonal school, and the old mill. The tour ultimately ends at the old mill.

• Each person can choose the language they want to play the trail in after entering the game code on their phone. So it’s possible to play in a multilingual group without needing separate bookings.

Aarau's historic old town is especially famous for its over 90 richly painted eaves. So when you're on your tour, don't forget to look up and admire the beautiful gables.

• A school class can include a maximum of 25 people (students and adult supervisors).
• It’s a good idea to split the class into several teams, with an ideal team size of no more than 8 people.
• After booking, you'll receive a code for the game. This code can be used by all participants, so a maximum of 25 times. By this time, it should already be clear which students belong to which team.
• One person from the team clicks the button "Create Team" and gives the team a name. The team members then click on "Join Team" and join the team using the team name.
• The teams should start with a gap of about 2-3 minutes so they can't just follow each other.
• Basically, each person plays on their own smartphone. As everyone answers the questions on their phones, participants compete against each other and see a ranking of all players. This makes it even more fun.
• If not every child in a class has a smartphone with internet access, the game can still be played. Those children can play on another child's smartphone. Each team should have the same number of smartphones, with at least one smartphone per team.

• Game code and start documents will be sent by the provider in a separate email
• Note that the provider needs time to send you the code, so you cannot start the game immediately. Therefore, bookings for the same day are not possible.
• The code is valid for one year from the booking date
• Minimum age: 10 years
