"Iseltwald and Giessbach" - explore Interlaken by e-bike

On the e-bike tour "Iseltwald and Giessbach," you start in Wilderswil and head towards Lake Brienz. First, you ride through Bönigen and arrive at the turquoise shores of the lake, with views of the surrounding mountains. Along the southern lakeside, you continue to the fishing village of Iseltwald, with its harbour, the CLOY platform, and the lakeside promenade.

Afterwards, you follow the shore and scenic forest paths up to the Giessbach Falls and the historic Grandhotel Giessbach. Once there, you have time to stroll along the boardwalks and trails close to the waterfall and enjoy the views of the lake and the hotel. On the return trip to Interlaken, you can stop to take photos by Lake Brienz and take in the panorama at your leisure.

Wilderswil is the starting point of the tour. You can get picked up at the following locations:

• Interlaken East Station, Lower Bönig Street, 3800 Interlaken
• Interlaken West Station, Station Street, 3800 Interlaken
• Matten near Interlaken, Hotel Sonne (bus stop), Main Street 34, 3800 Matten near Interlaken
• Wilderswil Station, Station Street, 3812 Wilderswil

• 1:00 PM – 1:30 PM Pick-up in Interlaken and meet your guide. Choose your e-bike and helmet, then receive a brief safety briefing before the ride.
• 1:30 PM – 2:15 PM Cycle through Bönigen to the turquoise shore of Lake Brienz, then follow the scenic southern shore to Iseltwald. Short stop to explore the fishing village and its iconic pier.
• 2:15 PM – 2:45 PM Continue along a peaceful forest trail with lake views to Giessbach, where you’ll pause to taste authentic Swiss cheese from a local farm.
• 2:45 PM – 4:00 PM Walk beneath the cascading Giessbach Falls, explore the surroundings, and visit the historic Grand Hotel Giessbach (optional coffee & cake).
• 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM Return along Lake Brienz with an ice cream break and some quiet moments by the water before heading back to Interlaken.
• Total distance: 22 km in length. Private tours can be adjusted as you go.
