Start your day with a tour through the chocolate world of Cailler, discover the history of Switzerland's oldest chocolate brand, learn how it’s made, and enjoy as many delicious treats as you like.
Afterwards, visit the "Maison du Gruyère". Le Gruyère AOP is a cheese with a long tradition, passed down through generations of cheesemakers in alpine and village dairies. You will be guided through a modern sensory experience, and our cow Cerise will reveal the secrets of making Gruyère AOP.
For lunch, you will have free time in Gruyères. Nestled at the foot of the Pre-Alps, you'll be enchanted by the charm and picturesque medieval architecture of this small town. Breathe in fresh mountain air and listen to cowbells on the pastures surrounding this quaint suburb. Explore the unchanged medieval town, which has also been named the prettiest village. At the end of the day, you will be transferred back to Geneva.
In Gruyères, make the most of your free time to visit the medieval castle. The fortified castle was built in the 13th century. The castle terrace offers an unrivalled panoramic view of the Pre-Alps. In a small printed guidebook (available in 12 languages), you can also learn some stories and legends of Gruyères.
