Verzasca Valley Canyoning Corippo Gorge for Families

This canyoning tour in Corippo is a fun adventure for families in the Verzasca Valley. The entry point takes you through the small village of Corippo with its stone houses and granite slab roofs. Then the adventure begins in a varied gorge featuring narrow passages, green pools, wild vegetation, many natural slides, and optional jumps.

After the safety briefing, you practice basic abseiling techniques, try a small test jump, and take a first slide. Afterwards, you'll decide together whether to explore the entire canyon or stay in the upper section and discover various abseiling, jumping, and sliding options there. This way, the experience can be well tailored to the group.

The tour ends with a slide directly into the Vogorno reservoir. Then you swim to the shore and return to the starting point. The canyon offers plenty of variety and is perfect for a family outing.

• Remove jewelry and piercings before the tour and avoid cotton fabrics
• Glasses wearers: contact lenses or glasses strap, waterproof case

• Hypoallergenic neoprene suit (2-piece; pants and jacket) with hood
• Canyoning shoes with hypoallergenic neoprene socks
• Canyoning harness with two self-locking devices including screw-lock carabiners
• Rockfall tested helmet

• Swimwear (swimming trunks, swimsuit, bikini) + Towel
• For the ascent and in colder temperatures or if you generally feel cold, you can wear tight-fitting functional underwear,
• ski underwear or similar, which you can also wear under the wetsuit. IMPORTANT: It should be made of synthetic fibre or merino wool (not cotton, as cotton tends to cool rather than warm).
• Change of clothes for after the tour
• Any necessary medication for you (asthma spray, allergy medication, etc.)
• Food/drink for before/after
• Sunscreen (waterproof)

Ticino is famous for its countless grottos. At the end of your tour, you can treat yourself at one of these rustic spots and enjoy an ice cream, a small snack, or a drink.
