This guided tour transports you from the Middle Ages through to the 18th century. The guide is dressed in medieval attire and shares eerie stories from past Lucerne and the Swiss Confederation.
Famous sights are illuminated from a different perspective. You will hear the sound of the fire horn right at the beginning.
You will visit landmarks such as the water tower, the Chapel Bridge, the Grain Market, and the Wine Market. At each stop, you’ll learn what happened here centuries ago. The route is explained by the night watchman using the 400-year-old Martin plan. Multimedia presentations (including projectors in the dark) add an engaging touch to the city walk.
Practical Information:
Just a few metres from the Chapel Bridge, you'll find the "Mr. Pickwick Pub." Furnished with historic furniture, it offers a typically English atmosphere. It stays open until midnight on Tuesdays and provides a lovely setting to wind down this city tour.
