The Rheinfelden Energy Town Tour shows you how the city's energy supply has evolved over the centuries. You'll learn how Rheinfelden transitioned from the energy source of wood to fossil fuels and nuclear power, and now to the climate-neutral energy production of the 21st century.
During the walk, experts will guide you through the historic old town and explain the key milestones of the local energy history. The tour highlights the development of hydropower and the implementation of the Climate and Energy Charter, which Rheinfelden signed in 2021.
