Champéry is a village at 1050 m above sea level in the French-speaking Valais. It’s right in the middle of the huge Portes du Soleil ski area. The village is one of the oldest tourist spots in Switzerland. Nestled among the mountains, you'll find plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops. A highlight is a bell foundry still operating in town today. For sports fans, there’s a 40 m high limestone cliff with various climbing routes. You’ll also find a bike park with 300 km of trails, an indoor ice rink, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and an equestrian centre.
