Avers is a remote, high-alpine municipality in the canton of Graubünden, located in a side valley branching off from the Hinterrhein. The valley lies between about 1670 and 2126 meters above sea level and includes several small hamlets such as Campsut, Cröt, Cresta, Am Bach, Juppa, and Juf. Situated well above the tree line, the landscape is dominated by wide meadows, steep mountain slopes, and surrounding peaks over 3000 meters. Avers is sparsely populated, strongly agricultural, and shaped by tranquil nature tourism, offering hiking and ski tours in largely untouched surroundings.
