Nature Safari at Lake Zurich
Local Guide
During the nature safari at Lake Zurich, you’ll be accompanied by a knowledgeable naturalist guide along selected sections of the shore. Your focus will mainly be on observing wild birds that can be seen here year-round. With binoculars and expert explanations, you’ll discover species that often go unnoticed in daily life.
Along the way, you’ll also watch for signs of the beaver, which has returned to some areas. Fresh gnaw marks, dams, or slides often reveal its presence. The mix of water birds, shoreline dwellers, and beaver signs makes the tour especially varied.
Another highlight is visiting a historic wooden bridge from the Middle Ages. From there, you get a beautiful view over the lake and surrounding countryside. Since it can get quite cold by the water, especially when windy, warm and windproof clothing is recommended. This way, you can fully enjoy your observations and the calm atmosphere at Lake Zurich.
