Description
The wine hike in Salgesch takes you on an approximately 8 km trail through the vineyards surrounding the winemaking village. Starting from the train station, the path steadily climbs towards Upper Valais until you reach the Mengis Suone.
From there, you follow the flat Suonenweg above Salgesch, which offers impressive views of the Rhone Valley. A gentle descent then leads you back to the village centre.
The hike finishes at the museum square in Salgesch, where the social conclusion of the event takes place.
Procedure
- From 8:00 am until at the latest 12:30 pm: Departure at Salgesch train station
- Festivities start at 12:00 pm
- Surprise event on the festival grounds at 6:00 pm
- Festivities end at midnight

- Zone 1 – From Start to Mengis Suone: Stalls open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Zone 2 – Mengis Suone: Accessible and open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, closed from 5:00 PM onwards
- Zone 3 – From Mengis Suone to Museumsplatz: Stalls open from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM
