Alpenrhein Express Ticket between St. Gallen and Chur

With the Alpenrhein Express, you travel hourly between St. Gallen and Chur through the Rhine Valley. During the journey, you can discover varied landscapes and different regions.

Visiting the Abbey Library in St. Gallen offers a glimpse into one of the oldest libraries in the world. It features an impressive baroque hall and valuable manuscripts. The baroque monastery church is closely connected architecturally to the library. It is one of Switzerland’s most beautiful sacred buildings. Plan at least one to two hours for both attractions.

• Small dogs up to 30 cm at shoulder height can travel free of charge if they stay in a container throughout the journey. This container must be placed under your seat.
• Dogs without a container and all dogs over 30 cm shoulder height require a valid dog ticket: half the fare of second class or the minimum fare (dog day pass, dog pass). They must sit under the seat to avoid blocking the aisle for other passengers.
